Vintage Beef Co. is renowned for its unique approach, allowing breeding cattle to mature naturally on grass for over 60 months — more than twice the age of conventional beef. Produced through Greenham Tasmania and Greenham Gippsland, Vintage Beef follows the Greenham Never Ever Program and uses the Natural State Hanging Method (hip hung) to enhance tenderness and eating quality.

Perfect for BBQs, rotisserie cooking, roasting whole or slicing into thick steaks, this rump cap shines when cooked simply and rested properly.

Butcher’s tip: Leave the fat cap on, score lightly, season generously with salt and cook over medium-high heat. Rest well, then slice against the grain to unlock maximum tenderness and flavour.

Due to their inherent shape, when slicing Rump Caps we will always pack the tip ends 2 per bag as they produce much smaller slices.

Vintage Beef farmers have turned their breeding cattle out to pasture for retirement where they feed only on grass.

These roamers further mature in a relaxed environment and are not processed until they are at least 60 months – more than twice the age of regular cattle.

Because the cows are older, the meat has a rich, developed grass fed flavour alongside superb marbling.

The result, a distinct and unique eating experience, enjoyed by Europeans for years.

All of our online products are vacuum sealed except for our fresh Sausages, Rissoles and Burgers, Pastries and crumbed products. Eg: Schnitzels, Chicken Kievs, Nuggets.

We offer free GPS tracked & refrigerated local delivery on orders over $200, or $19 under. Check if you’re eligible for delivery by opening the cart and using the postcode checker.

We also offer free pickup at any Super Butcher store from Tuesday to Saturday.

Our online delivery orders are packed neatly in a thick cardboard box with an insulated liner, complete with plenty of gel ice packs - all of which are soft plastics recyclable, and delivered fresh via refrigerated couriers. This box can keep your order cool for up to 4 hours after delivery.

Our butchers love to help! If you would like to leave some extra packing instructions in your order notes, please do! For example: “Please pack mince and chicken breast in 500g bags”.

Do you want the whole rump cap separated from a whole rump for a roast? No problem! Let us know in the order instructions. As long as its something our butchers can do safely, we'll be happy to oblige and let you know if there are any issues.

Once you select pick-up or delivery and enter the checkout, you will find the entry box on the right-hand side of our shipping details and choose your date pages (pages 1 and 2 of the checkout).

Our bulk beef items are advertised as they are, in bulk! This means they will hold some liquid in the bag, as genetically meat is roughly 75% water, 20% protein and 5% fat and other vitamins. These proteins mix with the liquids and extrude from meat over time (no, that's not blood in your bag).


If you are purchasing a bulk item and ask us to slice this into steaks for you, there is loss from this extrusion as well as the trim from any end cuts, large deposits of gristle or hard fats from the product.

Don't want any loss? Ask to keep the trim or for the product to be left whole so you can cut it at home.

By selecting "Yes" for “Keep the offcuts?” you’ll receive the smaller end pieces and trimmings that come from slicing your bulk beef — the same beef, just in uneven shapes and sizes, perfect for tallow or a super special treat for your furry friends.
