Beef fat is great for rendering down to make beef tallow. Beef tallow is an amazing cooking oil. It has a higher smoke point than many vegetable oils, and it contains minerals and vitamins like A, D, E, and K.

Rendering beef fat is the process of cooking it down in a pan of some sort for a period of time. Beef fat renders at 54-60°C. This is a process you want to take slow, so maintain this temperature while cooking for several hours.

Use rendered fat for cooking, sautéing, frying, and even in pastries. You can also use it to make candles, soaps, body products, and to keep your cast iron in tip-top shape.

This product is frozen but may thaw in transit and is safe to re-freeze once.

Our online delivery orders are packed neatly in a thick cardboard box with an insulated liner, complete with plenty of gel ice packs, all of which are recyclable*. This box can keep your order cool for up to 2 hours after delivery.
