Cape Grim Grass Fed Porterhouse Steaks are a premium BBQ favourite — combining a lean yet juicy texture with a satisfying grass-fed flavour. Cut medium or thick for perfect grilling, they’re ideal for weeknight meals or entertaining a crowd.

These steaks are from 100% grass fed British breed cattle raised in Cape Grim, Tasmania under the Greenham Never Ever program. They’re antibiotic-free, hormone-free, and Certified Humane, offering steak you can feel great about.

Best grilled or pan-seared, then rested and sliced across the grain.

Slice sizes are as follows:  

  • Medium ~ 22mm/250g +/- 5%
  • Thick ~ 30mm/330g +/- 5%

The Greenham Never Ever program began in 2012 to meet the growing demand for beef that could satisfy three key pillars for consumers: 100% grass fed | No grains – ever, No antibiotics – ever, No Hormone Growth Promotants (HGPS) - ever.

Please note that we can only pack Beef Steaks and Chicken Breast singularly, all other products have a minimum of 2 pieces or 200 grams per bag unless otherwise
stated.

All of our online products are vacuum sealed except for our fresh Sausages, Rissoles and Burgers, Pastries and crumbed products. Eg: Schnitzels, Chicken Kievs, Nuggets.

We offer free GPS tracked & refrigerated local delivery on orders over $200, or $19 under. Check if you’re eligible for delivery by opening the cart and using the postcode checker.

We also offer free pickup at any Super Butcher store from Tuesday to Saturday.

You can choose your pickup or delivery date in the checkout. Order before 10am for next day pickup & delivery, depending on availability.

Our online delivery orders are packed neatly in a thick cardboard box with an insulated liner, complete with plenty of gel ice packs - all of which are soft plastics recyclable, and delivered fresh via refrigerated couriers. This box can keep your order cool for up to 4 hours after delivery.

Best Porterhouse Steak Ever!

Bought several of these porterhouse steaks at medium thickness, seasoned them generously with salt, black pepper and herbs. Seared them on a stainless steel pan with olive oil on low heat for a few minutes on both sides, resting for 10 minutes. It was the best porterhouse steak I've ever had! Thank you to Super Butcher for their commitment to care and hard work. I am pleased with your service and look forward for my next order.

Our butchers love to help! If you would like to leave some extra packing instructions in your order notes, please do! For example: “Please pack mince and chicken breast in 500g bags”.

Do you want the whole rump cap separated from a whole rump for a roast? No problem! Let us know in the order instructions. As long as its something our butchers can do safely, we'll be happy to oblige and let you know if there are any issues.

Once you select pick-up or delivery and enter the checkout, you will find the entry box on the right-hand side of our shipping details and choose your date pages (pages 1 and 2 of the checkout).

Our bulk beef items are advertised as they are, in bulk! This means they will hold some liquid in the bag, as genetically meat is roughly 75% water, 20% protein and 5% fat and other vitamins. These proteins mix with the liquids and extrude from meat over time (no, that's not blood in your bag).


If you are purchasing a bulk item and ask us to slice this into steaks for you, there is loss from this extrusion as well as the trim from any end cuts, large deposits of gristle or hard fats from the product.

Don't want any loss? Ask to keep the trim or for the product to be left whole so you can cut it at home.
