Sourced from the Hughes family properties on the Western Downs of Queensland, Rangeland Grass Fed Brisket is a premium paddock-to-plate product raised with a passion for sustainability and regenerative agriculture.

Perfect for low and slow cooking, brisket is a cut rich in beefy flavour and ideal for smoking or roasting over long, sustained heat. The natural collagen in this traditionally tougher cut breaks down beautifully during the slow cook process, leaving you with melt-in-your-mouth texture and deep, hearty flavour.

Backed by years of cattle breeding expertise and holistic land management, Rangeland Quality Meats brings you grass fed beef raised in harmony with the land—no shortcuts, just honest quality from paddock to plate. These portioned briskets are perfect for home cooks and BBQ enthusiasts looking to craft something truly special.

Shape and size may vary from product photos.

A passion to produce premium quality beef supplied directly to the consumer was the catalyst for the formation of Rangeland Quality Meats in late 2010.

It seemed like a natural progression for Philip Hughes after many years breeding and growing cattle, and producing red meat to establish a marketing arm to the family business.

their aim is to provide a true ‘paddock to plate’ experience for the Australian consumer.

Rangeland Quality Meats beef is supplied from the Hughes family properties which are located on the Western Downs in southern Queensland.

As all Australians are aware, we live in a country of vast climatic variations, so the cattle are grazed with a priority placed on paddock conservation, grass quality and preservation of local plant and animal species. A passion for regenerative agriculture, sustainability, and holistic management under pin the family grazing business.

With a history steeped in managing the grazing pressures and extreme climate of Australia, the team at Banchory Grazing and Rangeland Quality Meats are perfectly situated to supply a reliable, high quality product.

Please note: We are more than happy to cut Briskets down to smaller portions (E.g. 2kg, 3kg, etc.) but we do not dice or slice Briskets into steaks or for Shabu Shabu.

MSA graded cut

The cut was MSA graded, very soft. It took 45 minutes to cook it ( goulash). Had around 20 percent of fat of white colour. It does not have to be slow and low cooked.

50% fat

The downside of buying online is you have to trust your supplier.

I know you get a fair bit of fat with Brisket but this really needed to be trimmed.

But what meat we had tasted great!

Super Butcher

Hi Nick,
Thanks so much for your feedback — we’re stoked to hear you enjoyed the flavour of the meat!
Just to clarify, our briskets arrive to us from the supplier untrimmed, which is how many customers prefer them for full control over their prep. But if you'd like your brisket trimmed and ready for the smoker, just pop a note in the order instructions at checkout and our butchers will gladly take care of it for you.
We really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts — it helps us continue to improve and tailor our service to what works best for you.

Do you want the whole rump cap separated from a whole rump for a roast? No problem! Let us know in the order instructions. As long as its something our butchers can do safely, we'll be happy to oblige and let you know if there are any issues.

Our bulk beef items are advertised as they are, in bulk! This means they will hold some liquid in the bag, as genetically meat is roughly 75% water, 20% protein and 5% fat and other vitamins. These proteins mix with the liquids and extrude from meat over time (no, that's not blood in your bag).

If you are purchasing a bulk item and ask us to slice this into steaks for you, there is loss from this extrusion as well as the trim from any end cuts, large deposits of gristle or hard fats from the product.

Don't want any loss? Ask to keep the trim or for the product to be left whole so you can cut it at home.
